The challenge

Fynly is a fictional fintech start-up. Its founders saw small agencies running invoicing out of spreadsheets: late GST math, payments chased on WhatsApp by hand, and no idea what cash would land next month.

Our approach

We scoped a ruthless MVP with three jobs: create a compliant invoice in under a minute, get paid faster, and see next month's cash. Everything else went on the roadmap.

The solution

A shared design system powers a Next.js web app and an Expo mobile app on top of Supabase. Invoices carry UPI payment links, reminders escalate politely on a schedule, and a Claude-powered assistant drafts follow-ups and flags clients who pay late. The forecast view combines sent invoices with payment history.

Projected impact

Design targets, not client results: invoice creation in under 60 seconds, fewer manual follow-ups, and a product ready for a closed beta in six weeks.
